I've moved...to facebook. :)

other updates...both ring-related...
1. I'm back to AT&T wireless...new cell number.  Email me if you don't have it! My old ringer will work for one more week before it is disconnected.
2. I have a new ring on my finger...I'm engaged~! there are some pictures on facebook~

hope you all have a lovely holiday season.  It's not just this time of the year, but rather, every day that is definitely...different...for the first time without my mom..  Then I am reminded of simple truths. God is good.  He understands.  And simply, everything truly does have an incredible purpose.  I believe it.

Merry Christmas~  (I know it's over a week early, but knowing me, I won't update this til 2008.)

wow, I guess I took a leave of absence from xanga...

there's a lot to update, will have to do it another day...

prayer request...
My mom appears to be suffering from dementia and it seems to be progressing every day.  I am praying for her safety a lot these days. (The latest is that she also has a large brain tumor...her cancer is back...and medical treatment options are pretty much running dry).  Also, if you could pray for my dad...I'm just hoping God is using this whole situation to soften my dad's heart to believe in the awesome Savior and sole Provider that we have in Jesus Christ.

praise: more than anything, my mom is pretty consistent in saying how great God is.

19 days...

Prayer Request...

I am going to be a cabin leader at Mount Hermon's college camp for the first time this summer.  I'm experiencing a lot of nervous excitement.  The focus of the camp is on the inerrancy of the Word of God.  I'd appreciate any tiny prayer you may have even just a few seconds for~
some requests...
-that the girls in my cabin (and I) will have stretchable, open hearts
-that edifying, lasting relationships will form within that cabin and within that camp
-that the focus of the camp will not be about changing behaviors but that it will simply be about knowing God and changing hearts
-for physical endurance and a servant's heart for me
-that I may diligently read the Word and spend time in prayer for the retreat these next 19 days~
-that I will trust in God over any issues that will arise that I may not have prepared for

thanks!

Another beautiful Texas wedding...

Emiko just 'tooted' in Brian's arms...

At Pinkberry with the girls...(not my favorite dessert place, I have to say)

Ya can't help but smile when you hang out with these two...

And finally...kids' quotes!! (from a cute email I received the other day)

WHAT DO MOST PEOPLE DO ON A DATE?
Dates are for having fun, and people should use them to get to know each

other. Even boys have something to say if you listen long enough.  -- Lynnette, age 8

HOW WOULD YOU MAKE A MARRIAGE WORK?
Tell your wife that she looks pretty, even if she looks like a truck.   -- Ricky, age 10

On another note...I am learning about humility and boy do I have a lot to learn...

I Wonder

You know, Lord, how I serve You
With great emotional fervor
In the limelight.
You know how eagerly I speak for You
At a women's club.
You know how I effervesce when I promote
A fellowship group.
You know my genuine enthusiasm
At a Bible study.

But how would I react, I wonder
If You pointed to a basin of water
And asked me to wash the calloused feet
Of a bent and wrinkled old woman
Day after day
Month after month
In a room where nobody saw
And nobody knew.
-Ruth Harms Calkin
